Animal Specimen Drawing (the matter of life and death)
The opportunity to draw alongside artist Sarah Filmer.
Together we look closely at things we rarely see in close proximity, and consider life and death in relation to each other.
In the room will be us, the live contingent, and a selection of dead wild animals and birds — collected by Sarah in her parallel career as a veterinary surgeon. No animals have been harmed for this workshop.
Sarah will bring basic drawing materials, but you're free to bring any other media particular to your own practice — e.g. laptops, cameras, tablets, sculptural materials, textiles.
The session will be a mix of drawing, discussion, development and experimentation.
