If you’ve ever felt stuck with your art, found abstract painting harder than expected, or just want to loosen up and try something new – this is the course for you.
This 5-week structured course helps you reconnect with creativity through playful, alternative exercises. You’ll explore how to move beyond representational work to create dynamic abstract pieces filled with energy, feeling and personal meaning.
Taught by experienced artist and educator Jo Morley, this evening class is designed to support you in building confidence, learning formal art principles, and discovering your own visual language.
Five 2-hour evening sessions of practical instruction
Step-by-step guidance through abstract methods and visual exploration
A large canvas to work on (included in the course)
Access to easels and a fully equipped art studio
Supportive, inclusive atmosphere led by a qualified teacher
Free on-site parking
5-minute walk from Bitterne Station and major bus routes
Bring a curious, open mind and a willingness to explore – the rest will follow.
